Job Summary and Description
Directs the operations of an education and training center. Provides leadership and direction for student support services; course and classroom scheduling; budget development and monitoring; marketing and outreach; facilities contracts; and center operations and maintenance. Develops funding proposals for center-wide and organizational projects and initiatives. Directs strategic initiatives across multiple functional areas, including defining scope, identifying opportunities, and providing educated estimates to support commitment and planning decisions. Develops marketing strategies and leads ongoing community outreach efforts designed to connect students and businesses with the center’s educational and training resources.
Collaborates with the Economic and Workforce Development (EWD) department and Alamo Colleges District (ACD) colleges to develop, market and manage programs that provide relevant educational and workforce development services to students, local school districts, business/industry and the broader communities served.
Reports to the department of Economic and Workforce Development.

QualificationsMinimum Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or combination of education, training and experience that equates to the required degree.
- Three years of experience in a related field, including supervisory experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree.
- Three years of experience at an institution of higher education.
Licenses and Certifications:
- May need to have a valid driver license and be insurable through the organization’s insurers.
Motor Vehicle Report is required in addition to background check and drug screen
