Job Description:

The Associate will support the bank’s regulatory obligations related to reserve calculation, with a primary focus on the accurate spreading and analysis of financial statements in line with applicable regulatory guidance and internal standards.

This role requires solid accounting knowledge and strong analytical discipline, as financial statement spreading is a key input into the reserve calculation process. The individual will also assist with portfolio monitoring, validation of financial information, reporting support, and control execution to help ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness in reserve-related processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Spread financial statements accurately and in accordance with regulatory guidance and internal methodologies.

  • Support reserve calculation processes through the analysis, validation, and maintenance of financial information.

  • Assist in monitoring the portfolio for financial deterioration, relevant borrower developments, and other factors that may affect reserve assessment.

  • Support reserve-related reporting, portfolio reviews, and materials for internal forums.

  • Help execute and strengthen controls across spreading, reserve calculation, and monitoring processes.

  • Escalate inconsistencies, data-quality issues, or process gaps in a timely manner.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure the completeness and integrity of information used in reserve-related processes.

Required Skills:

  • 3–4 years of experience in accounting, finance, credit, banking, regulatory reporting, or related fields.

  • Strong accounting and financial statement analysis skills.

  • Experience with financial statement spreading.

  • Advanced Excel skills.

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and sound professional judgment.

  • Effective communication skills and ability to work across teams.

  • Experience in reserve, regulatory, or portfolio monitoring activities is a plus.
