This role focuses on managing the strategic relationships, negotiating terms, prices, and timelines effectively to ensure project success and meet objectives. Some of the main responsibilities include: managing the IT budget, overseeing capital and expense spending, and adhering to financial constraints. Strong organizational skills are crucial for effective project management, encompassing time, resource, and personnel management.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Developing the strategic relationships of the IT vendor ecosystem to ensure we have partners that bring innovative solutions and thinking, incremental ROI and operate beyond the contract looking after CHG’s P&L on top and bottom line.
  • Managing the IT budget, overseeing capital and expense spending, and negotiating licensing agreements while adhering to financial constraints.
  • Project management - Set priorities, define deadlines, set milestones, Communicate, and use automation and scheduling tools, delegate assignments based on skills and strengths and provide clear instructions and deadlines.
  • Procurement - Conduct a thorough assessment of hardware and software requirements based on project and daily operational needs. Choose reputable vendors, negotiate, and purchase hardware and software as needed.
  • Planning: Creating and managing project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams as needed.
  • Help identify and implement innovative solutions for internal and external customers.
  • Provide research and support for IT projects.
  • Complete all required documentation following established guidelines.
  • Pursue training and educational opportunities.
  • Cross-train on applications/hardware within IS team.
  • Research and study trends, market shifts, and news related to our business and technology.
  • Expand knowledge of the business in general and understand the concerns of the company not necessarily related to IT.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements

Education/Certifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or another related field required
  • 3+ years managing IT projects and/or vendors required
  • Experience with collaboration tools (Microsoft Teams preferred)
  • Strong experience in vendor relationship management and negotiations.
  • Experience in IT budget preparation and monthly management and forecasting.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Proficient use of computer, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote), and other related applications or software.
  • Solid knowledge of hardware and laptop equipment
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Willingness to take the initiative and to follow through on projects.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of associates and consultants ranging from entry-level to executive-level positions.
  • Ability to research independently; pursue self-educational opportunities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, often with competing deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to pay attention to details and demonstrate strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to project a professional image over the phone and in-person.

Working Conditions And Physical Effort

  • Typical work in office environment.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Travel on an as-needed basis, which may vary depending on business requirements.
