The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing customer marketing strategies that drive engagement, retention, and loyalty. This position leads a strategic, integrated marketing approach to create a unified and seamless experience for customers to interact with C.H.G. in the Non-commercial Channel. This role marketing communications to deliver on content that is engaging and supports define growth initiatives, including but not limited to advertising, digital marketing, social media, direct marketing through its respective mix of tactics, methods, media, and activities. The ideal candidate is a subject matter expert in the Non-commercial channel who works closely with Sales to increase awareness and drive growth in key categories.

Essential Job Functions (Duties And Responsibilities)

  • Collaborate with Sales and Category Marketing Team to ensure a cohesive customer experience.
  • Collaborate to understand strategic initiatives in key categories and support the development of sales and marketing tools for new initiatives in these key categories (Cookies, Gravy, Biscuits, Baking Mixes, Sauce Mixes) for the Non-Commercial team, working in-house and/or with agency partners.
  • Own the marketing content calendar & messaging strategy for the CHG Non-Commercial Channel, to drive awareness, lead generation and user engagement.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of campaigns and initiatives.
  • Continuously monitor industry trends; use data-driven insights to predict and respond to market shifts proactively with deep understanding of consumer and customer needs.
  • Oversee sales enablement strategies for the Non-Commercial channel to drive broker engagement & education for targeted growth areas.
  • Create and manage customer segmentation to deliver targeted marketing campaigns.
  • Recommend success metrics to measure the quality of content, audience growth, engagement, and content reach, and develop strategies to ensure KPIs are met
  • Create new and/or refine existing content (e.g. point-of-sale, videos, etc.) based on metrics to maximize engagement and determine where to target spending, working in-house and/or with agency vendors
  • Support customer meetings and presentation development, digital media as needed, and e-commerce content that aligns to business goals and adhere to brand guidelines (adjusting as needed to fit changes in company strategies).
  • Identify and implement brand voice through brand guidelines, brand narratives, and a holistic brand story across key brands (e.g. Pioneer, CookieTree, Conestoga, Tribeca Oven, Breadtown Bakery, etc.).
  • Partner with strategic customers to help inform their content strategies, as well as developing content (e.g. training videos, advertising, e-commerce) that can be mutually leveraged to drive awareness.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed, including special projects and other duties as assigned and/or required.
  • Work closely with sales team (brokers) to support our growth with target customers and in key categories
  • Develop long-term strategies focused on sustainable growth and adaptability to changing market conditions
  • Manage industry tradeshows by providing support in the form of pre-planning, execution and post-show assessment.
  • Maintain customer portals to ensure compliance on all legal and regulatory requirements, product information and marketing messaging and content (e.g. Avendra, Entegra, Origami, Vizient, etc.)
  • Support as needed for RFP and Bids

Education/Certifications

  • 4 Year College degree in Business Administration or Marketing or equivalent industry experience

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in a Marketing position in the food service/manufacturing industry; focus on the Non-commercial channel to include K-12 preferred

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Strong computer skills, preferably: Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point, as well as SAP or similar systems;
  • Strong analytic skills and the ability to think strategically
  • Works well in a team environment with the ability to collaborate effectively with others to gain cooperation and make decisions
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills (listening, oral, written)
  • Customer service oriented and comfortable interacting with both internal and external contacts of all levels, including brokers, customers, and vendors
  • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to work effectively under pressure and be flexible in working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to effectively manage workload and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrate strong problem solving & decision-making skills with little or no direction or supervision
