The HR Workforce Development Intern will support high-impact HR initiatives focused on career development, skills architecture, certification programs, and workforce pathways. This role will contribute to the Career Framework, Functional and Technical Skills Guides, and temporary-to-hire pathways while partnering with Talent Management and HR Operations. The internship offers hands-on experience in workforce development, process improvement, and data-driven HR decision-making.

This intern will be an active participant in the C.H. Guenther Internship Program cohort, receiving mentorship, professional development, and networking opportunities. C.H. Guenther is dedicated to delivering an enriching internship experience that goes beyond hands-on work to support long-term professional growth.

The intern program will run from June 8 to August 14, 2026.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the design and development of Functional and Technical Skills Guides and skills matrices for Supply Chain and Commercial Services roles.

  • Assist with the Career Framework initiative, including alignment of career levels, bands, role expectations, and progression pathways.

  • Review and assess current certification programs to evaluate attainment, equity, and employee experience; gather feedback and support recommendations for improvement and recognition.

  • Contribute to the creation of temporary-to-hire pathways, including performance criteria, development milestones, and retention considerations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support employee development, engagement, and retention initiatives aligned with workforce needs.

  • Support ad hoc projects related to talent development, workforce optimization, and HR program effectiveness.

Education:

  • Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field.

Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Attention to detail and the ability to synthesize complex information into practical tools.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to lift up and carry 15 pounds at times.

  • Work involves exposure to manufacturing environments, including potential exposure to heat, noise, and production-related elements. Personal protective equipment will be provided by C.H. Guenther.

Candidates relocating from a distance of more than 50 miles will be eligible for a housing stipend.

$17.58 - $27.33

Actual compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as geographic location.
