Coordinates the creation, tendering and delivering of all shipments for one or more CH Guenther plants as well as processing freight carrier invoices, claims and returns. Must be able to work and communicate effectively with multiple departments including sales, customer service, shipping and receiving.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform daily routing with our various plants using SAP TM.. Work with customer service on short lead time orders. Tracking and tracing outbound shipments with our carriers. Schedule pick-up appointments with our carriers and our customers. Prepare return authorizations for returned goods and file claims on damaged and lost product with our carriers. Prepares export documentation on all of our export shipments. Audit freight bills by reviewing freight bills, assigning account numbers for payment, keying in delivery dates, and researching discrepancies on returned goods. Calculates freight rates for the sales departments, reviews loads with carriers and answering phones. Acts as backup for Fleet Manager and Traffic Manager.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Education/Certifications:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

• At least 2 years of experience in transportation, preferably with a carrier or freight broker.
• Experience with SAP desired but not required

Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge of Warehousing/Distribution/Transportation. Knowledge of the United States geography. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge in SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook.

Abilities:

Ability to function as a lead worker. Ability to manage and coordinate with our carriers and customers. Ability to manage multiple tasks. Proficient use of computer and related software.

$20.56 - $33.20
