Job Summary

Under immediate supervision, collects parking fees from customers, monitors parking facilities. May exercise functional supervision.
This position is a temporary, "unclassified" position and has no disciplinary appeal rights to the Municipal Civil Service Commission. This position is likewise subject to at-will employment status and can be terminated at any time for any reason.

Alamodome - 100 Montana Street San Antonio, TX
Work Schedule- Schedules (workdays and shift times) vary depending on events
- Days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays as needed
- Some major events are required
Essential Job Functions

- Collects parking fees from customers.
- Receives and verifies correct change fund.
- Operates an electronic cash register or time clock to compute fees manually.
- Completes daily reports for assigned zone.
- Verifies and counts money and number of parking tickets collected; turns in daily receipts to fiscal office.
- Monitors assigned parking lot and informs management of any unusual situations or incidents.
- Operates two-way communication radio.
- Responds to customer complaints and accidents, speaking with and listening to determine best way to address customer concerns.
- Provides customers with directions and information as needed.
- Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.
Job Requirements

- High school diploma or GED equivalent (recognized by the Texas Education Agency or a regional accrediting agency).
- Cashier or cash handling experience is highly desirable.
- Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Knowledge of cashiering procedures.
- Knowledge of basic mathematical computations.
- Skill in operating a cash register.
- Ability to resolve problems.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Ability to establish and maintain good public relations.
- Ability to perform all physical requirements of the position with or without accommodations.
- Working conditions are primarily in an outside environment with frequent exposure to temperature variations.
