Role Description

CVS Healthspire brings together our health care delivery, pharmacy and health services solutions. The Risk Bearing Entity (RBE) is responsible for bringing together proven health care interventions across CVS Healthspire to support Medicare members in their healthcare journey.

The Lead Director, RBE Engagement will be responsible for driving to ensure consistency and seamlessness. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, highly organized, enjoys solving challenging problems, uses data to drive insights, and excels in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, the Lead. Director will collaborate with other members of the Oak Street Health team (Population Health, Product, Data, Data Science, etc.), Signify, CVS Health, and Aetna to design and maintain workflows that can drive best-in-class health outcomes for the RBE. The role will engage across multiple RBE programs and initiatives to ensure that the underlying platform can meet the evolving needs of the business.


This role will report directly to the VP, RBE Engagement.

Core Responsibilities

  • Accountable for key patient enrollment metrics and OKRs for the RBE

  • Drive year-over-year improvement in In-home Health Evaluation (IHE) completion among RBE members by partnering with Signify Health

    • Define member segments within the overall RBE population and work across Signify and OSH on refining the approach for each of these

    • Improve efficiency of operations (# of attempts, enrollment rate)

    • Develop a strategic roadmap and influence across a matrixed environment to ensure on-time milestone delivery

  • Partner with a team of OSH patient engagement specialists who connect with patients telephonically and in-person to improve efficacy of engagement with Hard to Reach patients

    • Identify opportunities by performing data analysis, identifying key insights and trends to inform decision-making / process improvement

    • Work with product and technology teams to optimize tools where applicable

  • Engage cross-functionally within Oak Street Health and with other CVS Health entities (Signify, Aetna, Retail Health, etc.).

    • Lead ongoing operational program / partnership calls as well as monthly business reviews for RBE engagement

    • Become a trusted thought partner to our senior RBE program leaders as they develop their programs

  • Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure visibility and coordination among various workstreams

  • Considering local nuances as the RBE grows to additional geographies and expands program capabilities

  • Present to ELT members on vision, roadmap, and progress

What are we looking for?

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and work closely with cross-functional teams in sizable new initiatives, including Design, Engineering, Clinical, Commercial, Growth, Data Science, and external partners and clients

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, group facilitation, and presentation skills

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and customer service orientation

  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment, working through details quickly and staying focused on goals and deliverables

  • Ability to strive in a matrix organization and desire to continually demonstrate teamwork and embrace opportunities to collaborate

  • A flexible and positive attitude, oriented toward accountability

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 10+ years of applicable experience, experience in healthcare operations or consulting preferred, but not required

  • US work authorization

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$100,000.00 - $231,540.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
