About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Senior Manager, Product Strategy & Operations to serve as the end-to-end owner across our product portfolio of our medical device and diagnostic strategy —ensuring their successful integration and ongoing optimization to support our product portfolio. This role is responsible for both the big-picture strategy and day-to-day execution, driving continuous improvements in device procurement, fulfillment, data management, and vendor relationships.
As the primary leader overseeing device and diagnostics strategy, you will define how remote monitoring technologies and devices fit into our broader product vision. You will take an active role in vendor selection, contract negotiations, and performance oversight, ensuring vendors meet the needs of our business, clients, and members. In addition, you will work cross-functionally to optimize processes, identify operational pain points, problem-solve sustainable solutions, and lead the execution of improvements that enhance device performance, member experience, and overall business outcomes.
This role requires a unique blend of strategic leadership and operational execution. You must be able to set a vision, analyze data, identify trends, drive innovation in device utilization, and also roll up your sleeves to manage real-time challenges, troubleshoot issues, and provide hands-on leadership over daily operations. With at least one direct report and collaboration across multiple teams, you will ensure that devices and vendor partnerships are a core enabler of product success and healthcare impact.
Key Responsibilities
1. Own & Drive End-to-End Device & Vendor Strategy
- Develop and execute the strategy for devices and vendor partnerships, ensuring alignment with business, client, and member needs.
- Lead strategic partnership conversations and continuously evaluate vendor relationships, including selection, contract negotiations, performance management, and accountability.
2. Lead Cross-Functional Collaboration & Drive Business Outcomes
- Work closely with a wide range of stakeholders – sales, marketing, product, clinical, digital, engineering, legal, and finance teams – to ensure device solutions support broader product and business goals.
- Partner with strategic planning and enterprise procurement on vendor agreements, RFPs, and budget planning to drive cost-effective and high-value device solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to streamline device integration, improve data exchange and data availability, and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies.
- Align with product teams to evaluate device effectiveness, ensure regulatory compliance, and enhance member engagement.
3. Optimize Operations & Problem-Solve for Sustainable Solutions
- Identify operational pain points related to device procurement, fulfillment, and performance, and drive long-term, scalable solutions.
- Oversee day-to-day device vendor operations, ensuring smooth execution of ordering, fulfillment, and member and client escalations.
- Troubleshoot real-time issues, analyze root causes, and implement process improvements to reduce inefficiencies.
- Monitor vendor effectiveness, device adoption, and overall program success.
4. Provide Leadership & Stakeholder Influence
- Manage and mentor at least one direct report, while influencing and leading cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Serve as a thought leader on all things devices and device vendor management, advocating for best-in-class solutions.
- Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations and reports, translating complex operational details into strategic insights and recommendations.
- Serve as a key representative of CVS to external third-party vendors and strategic partners, ensuring productive relationships, clear communication, and alignment with company goals.
