Position Summary
The Industrial Engineering Manager, Workforce Management leads the development and improvement of labor standards that support efficient staffing across a large retail store network. This role manages and mentors a senior analyst while partnering with cross‑functional teams to ensure labor models, budgets, and demand plans are aligned. The work directly supports accurate labor allocation and better operational outcomes for stores.

Key Responsibilities:
Team
- Lead and mentor a senior analyst, guiding them in solving complex technical problems, improving their analytical skills, and supporting their professional development
- Act as a role model for a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation within the team
- Collaborate with leadership to refine individual team roadmaps, ensuring alignment with broader organizational objectives.
- Provide strategic direction for the team, ensuring goals are met with efficiency and accuracy
Scheduling/Demand
- Own the IE portion of adhoc analysis, ensuring accurate labor placement for the stores
- Ensure efficient communications with the demand and budget teams on adjustments
- Provide recommendations for scheduling system troubleshooting and field questions
Labor
- Develop and validate labor standards for front store workstations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with organizational goals.
- Conduct labor analysis to assess the impact of process changes and evolving operational workflows.
- Understand and forecast the implications of workload changes on labor requirements and productivity.
- Produce clear and compelling presentations to leadership, offering informed recommendations for improvements in labor allocation
- Serve as a subject matter expert on front store workstation operations, maintaining a deep understanding of workload implications and labor efficiency across the network.
Budget
- Oversee front store workstations ensuring labor standards, volumetrics, and budget calculations are aligned for optimal labor allocation.
- Work with the front store budget team to ensure annual and quarterly budget updates align with engineered labor standards and demand setup.
Cross Functional Relations
- Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the broader WFM team, front store workstation partners, and leadership.
- Work collaboratively to ensure alignment across teams and effective execution of initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial engineering, workforce management, or labor optimization, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Experience with labor standards development
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams, foster collaboration, and mentor senior analysts.
- Communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present complex data to leadership.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with labor standards development, volumetric analysis, and budget forecasting.
- Expertise in workforce management systems, scheduling systems, and labor analytics.
- Experience with Standards Pro and UMT.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Education
Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent work experience

The typical pay range for this role is:
$66,330.00 - $145,860.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
