The IT Senior Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the technology infrastructure and ensuring that IT strategies align with the organization's goals. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic thinking to manage IT projects, teams, and resources effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement IT strategies that support the organization's objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align technology initiatives with business goals.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor IT teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support professional development for team members.

Project Management:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Utilize project management methodologies to track progress and manage risks.

Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Monitor expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Infrastructure Management:

  • Ensure the reliability, security, and performance of the organization's IT infrastructure.
  • Oversee the maintenance and upgrade of hardware, software, and network systems.

Vendor Management:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with technology vendors and service providers.
  • Negotiate contracts and ensure that services meet organizational standards.

Policy Development:

  • Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Promote best practices in data security, privacy, and risk management.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for IT-related inquiries from other departments and stakeholders.
  • Communicate IT strategies, initiatives, and updates to senior management and staff.

Innovation and Technology Trends:

  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies that can enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Crisis Management:

  • Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Lead the response to IT incidents and ensure timely resolution of issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years proven experience in IT management, with a strong understanding of IT infrastructure and operations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies and tools.


Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$130,295.00 - $260,590.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
