Position Summary

• This position is responsible for supporting the Oak Street Health forecasting and reserving processes.
• Primary responsibilities will entail understanding methodologies and models in order to create month end close and forecast documents.
• Collaboration with key business partners in actuarial and finance to support business needs.
• Work with actuarial departments to implement new or updated reserving and forecasting strategies.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis using SQL for our business partners to understand financial drivers.
• The ideal candidate will be able to analyze complex problems, have strong communication skills, can help explain actuarial concepts, at a high level, to non-actuaries, such as finance and business leaders and the ability to analyze and solve complex problems.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3+ years relevant work experience in actuarial or related fields
• ASA or Near ASA
• Knowledge of SQL is a plus
• Strong technical, analytical and communication skills
• Works well with a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of health insurance reserving and forecasting methodology
• Experience with computer programming or advanced VBA knowledge

• Bachelor’s or higher degree required

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$79,310.00 - $158,620.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
