Job Description

The Business Analyst is responsible for identifying business needs, analyzing processes, and translating requirements into clear, actionable solutions that support organizational goals. This role acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure that systems, products, and processes deliver measurable business value.

The Business Analyst works closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, document business processes, analyze data, and support solution design, testing, and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Elicit, analyze, validate, and document business requirements from stakeholders
  • Translate business needs into functional and non‑functional requirements
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, QA, and business teams
  • Analyze current business processes and identify improvement opportunities
  • Create process flows, use cases, user stories, wireframes, and requirement documents
  • Support solution design and ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Assist with testing activities, user acceptance testing (UAT), and defect resolution
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and reviews
  • Track requirements throughout the project lifecycle and manage changes
  • Use data analysis and reporting to support decision‑making
  • Ensure solutions meet compliance, security, and quality standards

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar analytical role
  • Strong skills in requirements gathering and documentation
  • Experience with business process modeling and analysis
  • Proficiency with tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Jira, Confluence, or similar
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and multiple stakeholders
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI‑PBA, or Agile BA certification
  • Experience in a specific domain (e.g., finance, healthcare, retail, technology)
  • Familiarity with SQL, data visualization tools, or BI platforms
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum product teams
  • Knowledge of system integration, APIs, or software development lifecycle (SDLC)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$66,330.00 - $145,860.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
