Dykema’s Bankruptcy Group is seeking applications from current judicial clerks for a post-clerkship associate position in Texas, with office location open to Dallas, Houston, or San Antonio. Please indicate your office of interest in the cover letter. We are particularly interested in candidates completing a one- or two-year bankruptcy clerkship in late summer or early fall who are available to join our Fall 2026 associate class upon completion of their clerkship. Associates work on complex restructuring matters and bankruptcy proceedings, including drafting and negotiating transaction documents, resolving business disputes in and out of court, and representing debtors and creditors in Chapter 11 and other insolvency proceedings. Qualified candidates must have excellent written and oral advocacy skills, strong analytical abilities, and meticulous attention to detail. The position requires the ability to manage competing deadlines and produce high-quality work with minimal supervision. Admission to practice in Texas is required. Prior bankruptcy experience is helpful but not required for candidates coming directly from a bankruptcy clerkship. We do not accept search firm submissions for judicial clerk candidates.
