Job Posting: Construction Accountant

Experience The EMBREY Way by joining our dynamic Construction Accounting Team as a Construction Accountant.

As a Construction Accountant, you will manage financial activities specific to construction projects, ensuring accurate cost tracking, budgeting and reporting to support project profitability and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Track and record project costs, budgets, and change orders
• Prepare draw requests, progress billings, and job cost reports
• Reconcile accounts and ensure timely payment of subcontractors and vendors
• Monitor project budgets and provide financial analysis to project managers
• Ensure compliance with contract terms, accounting standards, and tax regulations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry
• Knowledge of job costing, AIA billing, and construction contracts
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Procore, Yardi & Textura)
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills

Required Testing

• Criminal Background Check, Non-DOT Testing, MVR
