Who you are:
As an Engineer II – Midrange - AIX at Frost, you are responsible for the planning, configuring, optimizing, and maintaining of UNIX OS environments and applications across the organization. Our midrange engineers believe in collaboration, ingenuity, and truly want to drive design and change in the IT realm. What you’ll do:
Assist in designing midrange system solutions that align with business needs, and develop detailed technical specifications, including system architecture, data flows, and integration points
Perform routine administration tasks on midrange systems, including configuration, patch management, and performance tuning. Monitor system health to ensure optimal operation
Help address complex issues escalated through the Midrange team and provide solutions and support to resolve problems effectively
Work closely with other IT teams, including development, network, and security teams, to ensure seamless integration and support for midrange systems. Share knowledge and contribute to team projects
Contribute to enhancing and extending configuration, deployment, and monitoring frameworks
Maintain up-to-date documentation for processes, configurations, and system changes
Perform additional duties as assigned

What you’ll need:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent relevant experience
Demonstrated ability to independently identify issues across interrelated programs and systems and develop the appropriate solutions, typically requiring a minimum of 2+ years of experience
Proven ability to apply engineering principals to effectively resolve moderately complex technical issues within Infrastructure and Operations
Demonstrated commitment to strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability in collaborative project environments
Knowledge of Infrastructure & Operations platform such as AIX
Relevant scripting, programming, or automation skills, such as Ansible, Bash, or Python
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in Microsoft Office applications
Additional Preferred Skills:
Relevant scripting or skills, such as GitOps, SecDevOps, and/or CI/CD Pipelines
Relevant certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, RHCA, Kubestronaut
