What You Will Do:
The Reporting and Analytics Lead will be a strategic leader responsible for the design, development, and delivery of all operational, clinical, and financial analytics solutions leveraging new Oracle Health (Cerner) EHR system on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This role will be pivotal in translating complex business, clinical, and regulatory requirements into sustainable, high-performance reporting assets, primarily utilizing Oracle Health Data Intelligence (OHDI) and OCI's analytical suite.
The Lead will bridge the gap between clinical/revenue stakeholders and the technical data team, ensuring data integrity, promoting self-service analytics, and maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA and HITECH compliance.
Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the development of the organization's enterprise-wide reporting strategy for the newly implemented Oracle Health (Cerner) solution (Clinical, Pharmacy, Surgery, Ambulatory, Laboratory, Revenue Cycle).
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Oracle Health's data structure and reporting tools, specifically Oracle Health Data Intelligence (OHDI/HealtheIntent) and Discern Reporting Portal (DRP).

- Mentor and provide technical guidance to a team of junior data analysts and report writers.
Development & Delivery
- Design, develop, and implement complex reporting solutions, dashboards, and visualizations using tools such as Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), and native Oracle Health tools.
- Utilize Cerner Command Language (CCL) to develop and optimize complex reporting extracts and custom data points from the Cerner Millennium database.
- Oversee the Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes from the Oracle Health application database into the OCI Data Lakehouse or OHDI platform, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Develop reports that support regulatory requirements, including quality measures (e.g., eCQMs), public health reporting, and financial compliance (X12/billing data).
Technical & Compliance
- Ensure all data models and reporting solutions comply with HIPAA, HITECH, and organizational data governance policies, specifically for Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Work closely with OCI architects and security teams to implement and monitor access controls (Role-Based Access Control) for analytics data within the OCI environment.
- Maintain documentation for reporting processes, data dictionaries, technical specifications, and user guides.
- Stay current with Oracle Health product updates, new data standards (FHIR, HL7 v2), and OCI data platform features to drive continuous improvement.
What You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare data analytics, reporting, or data warehousing.
- 3+ years of specific experience developing reports and extracting data from a Cerner Millennium EHR environment.
- Proven experience in a lead or supervisory role managing analytics or reporting team.
- Deep knowledge of CMS reporting programs (IQR/OQR, Promoting Interoperability, MIPS), public health reporting, and state/federal registry requirements.
- Strong understanding of clinical operations and documentation workflows and how they translate into reporting logic and data quality.
- Expert proficiency in SQL and strong experience with Cerner Command Language (CCL).
- Demonstrated experience with the Oracle Health reporting ecosystem (e.g., Discern Reporting Portal, Oracle Health Data Intelligence/HealtheIntent).
- Solid experience with cloud-based analytics platforms; OCI experience is highly preferred, including exposure to OCI Data Lake, OAC, or similar cloud services (Azure/AWS).
- Experience with a modern visualization tool (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Oracle Analytics Cloud).
- Deep understanding of clinical, laboratory, pharmacy, and revenue cycle workflows in a hospital setting.
- Expert knowledge of healthcare data standards (HL7 v2, FHIR) and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, HITECH).
