JOB DESCRIPTION: PARTS SPECIALIST - SERVICE
SUMMARY: As a Service Parts Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the success of our service projects by identifying and procuring the necessary parts to resolve customer issues. You will collaborate with technicians to determine the required components, consult relevant resources, and ensure the timely ordering of parts. This role also involves assisting with various administrative tasks to help streamline service operations. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn about our windows and doors to ensure accurate and efficient service. This position reports to the Service and Installation Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: (other duties may be assigned)
- Review service reports to promptly order replacement parts, ensuring timely resolution for the customer.
- Collaborate with service technicians to verify the accuracy of parts needed to ensure proper replacements.
- Utilize both internal and external resources to gather essential information needed to complete service orders effectively.
- Partner with the service coordinator to determine the most efficient path forward for completing each service.
- Procures all necessary parts for inbound and ongoing service projects
- Assists with administrative tasks, including order entry.
- Offers in-office technical support as required.
- Works closely with the Warehouse Lead on inventory levels and determines when to order or purchase new parts.
- Serves as the liaison to suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts.
- Takes corrective action when defective goods are received.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: N/A
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED, minimum, is required.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to quickly learn technical aspects of windows, doors, and related components. Must be strong in using computer systems and software for order entry and documentation.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Bilingual in Spanish and English is not a requirement, but is preferred.
