JOB DESCRIPTION: Window and Door Delivery Driver

SUMMARY: The Window and Door Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transport of Window & Doors to and from specified locations. They work closely with warehouse/distribution management and other warehouse/distribution staff to maintain a safe and efficient environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: (other duties may be assigned)

• Operate trucks according to company safety policies and procedures
• Ensure timely delivery of company’s orders
• Ensure trucks are operated safely and securely stored
• Strap and unstrap loads for delivery and upon delivery
• Maintain daily record of deliveries
• Communicate efficiently with Yard Operations Manager and customers.
• Conduct all activities in a safe manner, adhering to company safety standards
• Continuing education through monthly safety training; similar courses (defensive driving, etc.)

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: N/A

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED, minimum, is required. 1 year driving experience (gooseneck trailer specifically), minimum.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: The individual must have good working knowledge of building materials, tape measure, and basic mathematical skills.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Bilingual in Spanish and English is not a requirement, but is preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: OSHA 10 hour is preferred. Current, valid driver’s license is required.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS: Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, or other activities necessary to perform job duties. Must be able to move large, bulky and/or heavy merchandise up to 100 pounds; ability to work in variable daily weather conditions. Must be able to drive to and from Guido properties and other locations for business purposes.
