JOB DESCRIPTION: DOOR SHOP / MILLWORK HELPER

SUMMARY: As a Door Shop & Millwork Helper, you will play a crucial role in supporting the operations of our Millwork Production department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (other duties may be assigned)

• Demonstrate proficiency in using basic woodworking tools and equipment. (Drills, Saws, Routers, etc.)
• Safely operate a forklift to transport materials within the warehouse (forklift operator experience preferred but not required).
• Lift and move heavy materials weighing 80 lbs or more as needed.
• Assist in sorting and processing lumber from raw material to finish product.
• Work efficiently as part of a Production Team to meet delivery deadlines.
• Assist in setting up machinery for production runs, including adjustments and configurations.
• Inspect, sort, and bundle finished products according to quality standards.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: N/A

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED, minimum, is required. Basic knowledge of woodworking tools and equipment is required. Prior experience in woodworking or related field is preferred.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: The individual must have good working knowledge of building materials, experience operating a forklift, tape measure, and basic mathematical skills.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Bilingual in Spanish and English is not a requirement but is preferred.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS: Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, or other activities necessary to perform job duties. Must be able to move large, bulky and/or heavy merchandise 80 plus pounds.
