JOB DESCRIPTION: MILLWORK MOULDER OPERATOR

SUMMARY: As a Millwork Moulder Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the Weining Powermat 500 Moulder, ensuring the efficient production of quality wood mouldings. Your role will involve setting up the moulder according to the profiles being run, handling materials from raw product to finished moulding, and maintaining a smooth workflow.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following: (other duties may be assigned)

• Operate the Weining Powermat 500 Moulder efficiently and safely
• Set up the moulder according to the profiles being run, ensuring accuracy and quality
• Sort material for gange rip, ensuring proper alignment and quality control
• Handle materials throughout the manufacturing process, from raw product to finished moulding, ensuring proper handling and care
• Move lumber from warehouse to warehouse as needed, utilizing forklift operation skills
• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to transport materials within the facility
• Demonstrate knowledge of different wood species, including their characteristics and uses
• Lift and move materials weighing up to 50lbs, adhering to proper lifting techniques and safety protocols

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: N/A

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of wood species and their properties preferred. Minimum of a High School diploma or GED; Machine operation experience required; Forklift certification strongly desired or willingness to obtain certification.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Previous experience operating woodworking machinery, with machine operation experience is required. Proficiency in setting up and operating the Weining Powermat 500 Moulder or similar equipment. Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50lbs safely and effectively. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Bilingual in Spanish and English is not a requirement but is preferred.
