As a Central Market Talent Development Leader, you'll train and develop all Central Market Store Partners.

What is the work?

Leadership:

Applies innovative approach to work with Partners to leverage strengths and promote professional growth for entire Store

Demonstrates interest and support for Partner career development

Drives succession planning within designated Store, in partnership with Store leadership

Serves / recognized as owner of Store talent by Store leadership; promotes Central Market culture in all interactions

Uses best practices, Division-preferred methods, and Central Market Standard Operating Procedures to achieve training objectives

Works with Store leadership to provide accurate, timely, and candid feedback about Partner strengths and training developmental needs

Communicates Partner (employees/associate) concerns to Store leadership and HR Manager when appropriate

Promotes company values and competencies

Fosters teamwork and collaboration

Collaborates with store Administrative staff and Leaders to offer job fairs to identify the best talent for Central Market

Takes On Additional Responsibilities As Needed

Training:

Designs, develops, delivers, and coaches on training for existing and new hourly and management Partners

Manages, supports, and facilitates training plans and programs for Partners at various levels of career development

Creates and implements on-the-job training for key Store areas

Designs and develops learning resources in a variety of formats and modalities (e.g., print, graphics, audio, video, eLearning, job aids) to support curriculum offerings

Provides training, support, and assistance in using the learning management system (LMS), interactive video, and other distance learning modalities for coursework

Supports and assists in development of complete turnkey instructional and coursework solutions; manages related projects

Creates realistic goals, engaging learning activities, and compelling course content to enhance knowledge retention and transfer

Provides individual and group instruction, demonstrations, and Store / department walks or overviews

Applies understanding of learning styles and adjusts delivery to meet training objectives

Collaborates with CM Division Talent Leader to ensure training objectives, assignments, and activities are aligned with Division goals and Central Market culture

Provides feedback to CM Division Talent Leader on curriculum effectiveness; recommends changes to facilitate learning and retention

Maintains content integrity by ensuring training curriculum, materials, and resources are current and consistent and reflect Central Market culture and brand standards

Implements all training-related processes, including completion documentation, assessments, evaluations, and determination of actionable outcomes

Monitors progress, provides status reports, and tracks completion and impact of learning assignments for all Partners

Understands, connects, and tracks ROI on training efforts

Project Management:

Coordinates / leads execution of internal projects; manages / documents all aspects of assigned talent development projects

Works with experts to identify and determine learning needs for content development

Collaborates with Division Leaders and stakeholders to interpret data and recommend appropriate actions for design development work

Creates and implements communication plans related to project work and change management

Prioritizes and manages multiple, concurrent development efforts

Applies a sense of urgency to drive expedient completion of projects

What is your background?

Bachelor's degree (preferred)

3+ years of experience in training-instructional design and delivery / facilitation experience with groups of all sizes

3+ years of experience developing talent or supervisory skills

1+ years of experience as a department manager (preferred)

Experience in instructional design (preferred, a portfolio of relevant samples is a plus)

Strong interpersonal and organization skills

Bilingual Skills (English - Spanish) (preferred)

MS Office and instructional design (Articulate Storyline, Adobe Creative Suite) skills (preferred)

Ability to conduct training for all group sizes (one on one to large groups)

Ability to influence all levels of management

Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between projects / tasks; attention to detail to ensure quality deliverables

Ability to work autonomously; ability to work as part of a team

Ability to effectively use technology as needed

Ability to understand, connect, and track ROI for training efforts
