Responsibilities Job Summary: As a Convenience Store Representative, you'll provide a well-stocked and well-maintained Store while providing superior customer service. You'll prepare, package, and merchandise fresh product daily, while maintaining all Store, food safety, and sanitation standards. Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions: • Cash-Handling: Processes customer transactions of goods and services by collecting payment from customer; makes change for cash transactions Uses electronic scanner to record prices; weighs items, bags merchandise, and redeems food stamps and promotional coupons Monitors and manages potential front-end shrink • Customer Service / Sales: Provides superior customer service Answers customer questions regarding products and assists them with selections Merchandises product effectively Uses suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build sales • Food Service / Food Safety / Sanitation: Prepares fresh food according to recipe specifications and SOPs; cuts, slices, dices, chops food Prepares, packages, labels, rotates, and merchandises product Properly handles and maintains temperature integrity of all ingredients, product, and equipment operation Complies with Store operating procedures and H-E-B food safety and sanitation standards The responsibilities and essential functions outlined above describe the general nature and level of work assigned to this position.
