Responsibilities Job Summary: The Parkway Tech I supports overall operations by assisting in mechanical, hydraulic and electrical repairs on Material Handling Equipment (MHE); receives training to advance technical abilities; works under immediate supervision from detailed verbal / written instructions. Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions: • Performs routine and scheduled maintenance • Performs complete mechanical and hydraulic repairs on company handling equipment • Completes limited repairs on electronic MHE • Repairs internal combustion support equipment • Operates hoists, jacks, lathes, presses, forklifts, hand tools and industrial power tools to include electrical test equipment • Completes minor component rebuilding • Receives training from Parkway Techs II and III to advance skillset • Fills out all work orders • Maintains sanitary and safe work environment • Performs other duties as assigned The responsibilities and essential functions outlined above describe the general nature and level of work assigned to this position. Qualifications & Key Requirements: Work Experience: of technician experience - Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Effective written / verbal communication skills - Strong organization and time management skills with ability to multi-task; attention to detail - Good decision making ability - Education: or - Licenses/Certifications: Physical Demands & Working Conditions: Operate and use hand tools, power tools, and MHE on a regular basis Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions Must be able to lift 70 pounds a distance of 15 feet Work extended hours and / or rotating schedules Use arms / hands in repetitive motion during the day Ability to properly wear PPE for an extended time Required to wear foot protection The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a Partner encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
