Responsibilities Job Summary: Provide maintenance and repairs for H-E-B facilities and systems in a professional manner that assures safety, efficiency, and reliability, using the latest in technology, processes, and procedures. Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions: • Troubleshoot/repair various systems / equipment and general building infrastructure; learns / applies knowledge of generators, elevators, uninterruptable power supply (UPS) systems, wet systems, alarm panels (including audio / visual devices), Ohm's law, multimeters, clamp meters, safety/code guidelines and law. • Troubleshoots / repairs basic circuits for lighting and electrical components and equipment. • Operates, repairs, and rebuilds mechanical components. • Opens / closes repair and maintenance work orders using work order management system • Supports special events; works with other departments to coordinate / monitor tent setup, power supply, tables; ensures building codes are applied. • Investigates customer complaints and chronic maintenance issues; resolves warranty issues. • Maintains scheduled services of company vehicles according to manufacturers' recommendations. • Research / orders repair parts, materials. • Supports FM's strategic goals by supporting tactical decisions that impact H-E-B's financial, legal, and safety status • May assist in maintenance of landscaping; learns / applies basic knowledge of turf, shrubs, and trees • May perform preventative maintenance The responsibilities and essential functions outlined above describe the general nature and level of work assigned to this position. Qualifications & Key Requirements: Work Experience: 3 years of experience in Facilities Maintenance Experience in mechanical maintenance, electrical maintenance, pneumatic systems, construction trades, or AC maintenance Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Intermediate support individual contributor position performing administrative or specialized tasks in support of daily business activities Works under moderate supervision on mostly routine tasks but may deviate from or interpret standard procedures based on knowledge gained through learned experience Working knowledge of generators, elevators, uninterruptable power supply (UPS) systems, wet systems, alarm panels (including audio / visual devices), Ohm's law, and multimeter / clamp meter usage Understanding of the principles of three phase AC voltage sources (277 / 480VAC) Analytical and troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills; attention to detail Ability to demonstrate initiative and resourcefulness while working independently with limited supervision Good driving record Education: High School diploma Technical school in electrical or air conditioning maintenance or equivalent experience preferred Licenses/Certifications: Completion of hazardous materials handling certification Physical Demands & Working Conditions: Function in a fast-paced office environment Regularly lift 20 lbs. or more Work extended hours and / or rotating schedules Work while standing, sitting, stooping, bending, with hands over head, in a prone position, or from a ladder The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a Partner encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
