Position Description
The primary duty of the Transportation Business Group (TBG) Environmental Sciences and Planning (ES&P) Business Class Director is to provide strategic leadership and technical direction for environmental sciences and planning services across all TBG market sectors the geographic areas where we perform work.
The Director will collaborate with TBG professional services leadership, the market sector leadership, other business class leaders, and other ES&P leadership at the Cross Sector and for the other business groups to drive technical excellence, quality, and growth.
Primary Responsibilities
• Develop and implement TBG-wide ES&P strategy
• Provide technical and quality leadership across projects
• Support marketing, business development, and key pursuits
• Build and mentor ES&P staff and lead strategic hiring
• Promote HDR through industry engagement
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Environmental Science, Planning, or related field with a strong emphasis in NEPA for transportation
- Strong client relationship and leadership skills
- Active engagement in industry associations
- Ability to travel up to 40%
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in related field
- Maintains a professional or Engineering registration and has related technical experience
- Experienced in development and management of diverse teams
- Works cooperatively with other business class directors, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts
- Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
