The Shop Welder Tech 3 (Line Bore), performs complicated welding repairs, fabrication, and line boring on heavy construction equipment, and components with minimal supervision utilizing Holt, Caterpillar and AWS Welding Procedures, Standards and Codes. Demonstrating ability to fabricate solely from blueprints and perform the removal and installation of most components on heavy equipment, including undercarriage. Ability to complete most complicated welding repairs on steel and steel alloys utilizing FCAW & SMAW process (all position) and perform advanced torch work, cutting and gouging. Proficient knowledge of equipment and dimensional tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance. The hours for this position are Monday through Friday 7am to 4pm.
