The Audio-Visual Engineer II is responsible for the design, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of advanced AV systems across the organization, ensuring high-performance collaboration environments at all IBC locations. This role involves engineering standardized conference room solutions using Cisco Room Kits, Room Bars, and Webex Control Hub, while integrating microphones, speakers, cameras, displays, and control systems into cohesive AV environments. The engineer leads technical project execution, coordinates with vendors, manages boardroom build-outs, and maintains detailed system documentation. Additionally, the role serves as the primary technical lead for high-profile live events, working directly with executive stakeholders and external partners to deliver seamless, high-quality AV experiences.Job Description:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Engineer, configure, and maintain Microsoft Teams Rooms, Cisco Room Kits, Room Bars, and Webex-integrated conferencing solutions within enterprise AV and network environments
Lead AV room deployments including rack layout, cabling, and configuration of equipment.
Serve as lead AV coordinator for live events, including executive briefings and external VIP sessions.
Program DSPs and configure audio signal paths using tools like Q-SYS or Biamp.
Install and configure AV control systems such as AMX or Crestron panels.
Support AV-over-IP network integrations and ensure QoS for media traffic.
Optimize microphone placement, camera angles, and speaker tuning for various room sizes.
Ensure proper signal flow, room acoustics, and AV-over-IP performance across all systems.
Troubleshoot complex AV system issues and support mission-critical meetings.
Document room standards, installation drawings, and update system inventories.
Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for AV projects and upgrades.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regionally to enterprise sites for hands-on installations or escalated support.
Physically able to lift AV equipment (up to 75 lbs. with assistance).
SKILLS
Expert in integrating Microsoft Teams Rooms, Cisco Room Kits & Room Bars, and Webex Control Hub into enterprise AV-over-IP environments; strong knowledge of network protocols, hybrid collaboration workflows.
Expertise with commercial AV components including DSPs, 4K displays, PTZ cameras, HDMI distribution, and AV-over-IP transport.
Skilled in AV-over-IP technologies and network-based AV transport (e.g., Dante, NDI, VLAN segmentation).
Skilled in programming DSPs (Q-SYS, Biamp) and AV control systems (AMX, Crestron).
Ability to design and read AV schematics and execute full room deployments.
Understanding of audio and video signal flow, EDID management, HDMI/HDBaseT distribution, and resolution scaling.
Excellent interpersonal skills for communicating with executives and stakeholders.
Strong technical troubleshooting, documentation, and project coordination abilities.
EDUCATION
Associate or bachelor’s degree in Audio/Visual Technology, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
EXPERIENCE
4–6 years of experience designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise AV systems, with direct involvement in executive-level live event production and vendor coordination.
