International has great opportunity for a CONTRACT Payroll Coordinator.
We are seeking an adaptive and organized Payroll Coordinator to join our team on contract. This role is responsible for coordinating and auditing payroll related information within internal teams as well as an external payroll processing team. This role will address employee payroll inquires, assist in maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations, but primary goal will be to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with mid to large organization payroll, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Process support for weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Maintain and update payroll records, including employee wages, deductions, bonuses, taxes and benefits.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports for internal use and auditing purposes.
- Identify payroll discrepancies, inquiries, and address employee concerns in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with internal resources and external payroll processor to ensure accurate employee data inputs.
- Assist in year-end payroll processes, including tax filings, W-2 distribution, and reporting.
- Evaluate and document potential processing gaps or opportunities for efficiency.

Desired Skills
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, computer sciences, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a mid-to-large-sized organization.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, SAP, Workday, Oracle) preferred, with strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations, wage laws, and compliance standards.
- Strong analytical tendencies and proven experience solving problems with data.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with processing reports and exceptions within a Timekeeping system, preferably UKG.
