Position Overview
International Motors’ San Antonio Manufacturing Plant is one of the most advanced commercial vehicle manufacturing facilities in North America—purpose-built to shape the future of transportation. Our team designs and produces cutting-edge Class 6–8 trucks, including next-generation electric vehicles, leveraging state-of-the-art engineering, advanced automation, and connected manufacturing systems.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager – Body and Paint Operations to lead all aspects of Body Assembly and Paint Operations, including cab and hood paint, chassis paint, and touch-up processes. This role is responsible for overseeing the teams, processes, and performance of these operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
San Antonio Manufacturing runs a 4x10 production schedule (Mon-Thurs, 5:30AM - 4:00PM).
This role will support production and may need to cover production recovery times including Fridays and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Body & Paint organization, ensuring strong and consistent performance across all operational metrics.
- Oversee operations for body assembly, cab and hood paint, chassis paint, and touch-up paint, ensuring efficient, high-quality production.
- Champion a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across all teams and processes.
- Drive operational excellence through data-driven decision-making, problem solving, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Partner cross-functionally with engineering, quality, supply chain, and operations teams to support production targets, new product launches, and process improvements.
- Build organizational capability by coaching leaders, developing talent, and strengthening team engagement and accountability.
- Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of production/manufacturing experience
- At least 3 years of lead experience
- Master's degree and at least 5 years of production/manufacturing experience
- At least 3 years of lead experience
- At least 10 years of production/manufacturing experience
- At least 3 years of lead experience
- Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. - Proven record of managing an automotive paint shop utilizing advanced 2K paint systems, including curing, quality control, and process optimization
- Strong foundation in lean manufacturing, automation technologies, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Skilled in coaching and developing talent at all levels, fostering a high performance, growth oriented environment.
- Strong command of quality systems, material flow, and MES integrated manufacturing environments, with the ability to leverage real time data for decision making.
- Ability to drive cultural transformation, influencing behaviors and expectations across all organizational levels
- Deep expertise in safety leadership and proven compliance with corporate Safety and Environmental policies.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic business plans that align operational performance with long term organizational goals
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with executives, managers, engineers, and hourly teams
