JOB FUNCTION:

The Portfolio Management Assistant is responsible primarily for supporting, the Senior Portfolio Manager in data entry, model support, performance reporting, maintaining and updating internal presentation templates, and maintaining ongoing manager diligence files.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the Senior Portfolio Manager with research, modelling and presentation support
  • Maintain and manage reporting on core investment strategies, models and allocations for equity and fixed income models for 1900 Wealth and Jefferson Bank Trust Department (“Trust”)
  • Prepare performance reporting and present to respective committees and clients, when requested
  • Prepare investment reviews and reporting for clients, when requested
  • Support portfolio management and advisory work with Jefferson Bank Trust department and support relationship development with clients and prospects for new business.
  • Support trading functions for 1900 Wealth clients and Trust department.
  • Manage resources prudently and deliver services in a cost-effective way for organizational profitability.
  • Assist with messaging for marketing and client advisors collaboratively for marketing efforts and client support.
  • Continuous development of fundamental investment knowledge, either through on the job training, online educational seminars or formal graduate programs.
  • Demonstrate ability to work well with team members.
  • Other special projects, reports and duties as assigned in order to be a contributing team member.
  • Operate under the provisions of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Work Experience

  • General knowledge and experience in Investments or comparable experience in related industry


Supervisory Experience

  • N/A

Education/Skills/Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Computer programming/coding skills, BI, data analytics skills strongly desired
  • Professional industry certifications preferred or in-process

Equipment/Machines/Software

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of programs: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work with standard office equipment such as personal computers, calculator, copiers, scanners, printers, electronic devices, shredders, and fax.

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and skilled in time management.
  • Professional maturity and understanding of how to flex time investment across workloads.
  • Ability to follow tasks through to completion and willingness to stay late, when needed.
  • Ability to work independently but desire to be part of a thriving team and collegial environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to be attentive to detail.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to reach, bend and lift files up to 20 lbs.
  • Must be able to sit for most of the day in front of a computer.
  • Must be able to type on a keyboard.
  • Must be able to speak and hear to communicate with clients, work associates and others.
  • Must be able to read a laptop/computer monitor.
  • Must be able to be mobile in an office environment.
