Furniture Installer-JLL
What this job involves:
As a Furniture Installer at JLL, you'll be the hands-on expert responsible for executing work orders, moves, and furniture reconfigurations that keep our clients' workspaces functional and efficient. Your role encompasses everything from delivering and retrieving furniture to repairing systems and relocating employee belongings during workspace transitions. You'll perform furniture and occupancy surveys, reconfigure workstations to meet evolving needs, and ensure every piece is set to standard specifications. Working in a demanding, fast-paced corporate environment, you'll need to balance independence with collaboration, often completing assignments with minimal supervision while maintaining clear communication with clients and colleagues.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Execute work orders for furniture delivery, retrieval, moving, and installation across client office locations
- Reconfigure workstations and office layouts according to project specifications and client requirements
- Repair furniture systems and components to maintain functionality and appearance standards
- Relocate employee belongings and crates to new work areas during office moves and transitions
- Conduct furniture and occupancy surveys to assess workspace configurations and inventory
- Set furniture in work areas to established standards, ensuring proper placement and functionality
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members in corporate settings, providing updates on work progress
Required qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 6 months of experience in furniture installation, moving, or related hands-on trade work
- Knowledge and experience using hand and power tools, dollies, and other moving equipment
- Ability to work independently and complete assignments with minimal supervision
- Physical capability to lift and push up to 75 lbs and walk up to 8 hours daily
Preferred qualifications:
- Proficiency with computers and smartphones for work order management and communication
- Experience with office furniture systems and modular workstation configurations
- Previous experience working in corporate office environments
Schedule: M-F 7am - 4pm
Location: San Antonio,TX
