Position Overview:
The Specialist, Audio and Video is a key member of the Marketing Operations team and supports the execution and production of the firm’s podcast and video programs. This role focuses on day-to-day production, coordination and optimization of audio and video content that advances the firm’s thought leadership and storytelling initiatives. The Specialist will work closely with lawyer podcast hosts and participants as well as marketing colleagues to deliver high-quality, engaging and compliant content aligned with established content and brand strategies.
This role partners closely with podcast hosts and stakeholders across Marketing, Business Development and Communications to produce multiple podcasts and video projects. The Specialist is responsible for managing production workflows, maintaining consistent publishing schedules and ensuring a polished final product. The role requires a strong understanding of how podcasts and video support content marketing objectives, a passion for storytelling and hands-on proficiency in audio and video production and editing. This individual should have awareness of what is currently available and be actively monitoring the landscape for supporting AI tools.
This is a hybrid role based in our Houston, Dallas, Austin, or San Antonio offices. This role requires comfort and effectiveness in reporting to a manager virtually, based in another city.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage end-to-end podcast and video production across multiple projects, including planning, scheduling, guest coordination, scripting support, recording, editing, post-production and publishing
Ensure high-quality, on-brand and compliant content delivery by applying firm brand guidelines, editorial style and legal/compliance requirements throughout the production lifecycle
Support the production of short- and long-form audio and video content, including lawyer interviews, firm capability overviews and promotional clips
Coordinate production workflows and timelines to maintain consistent publishing schedules and efficient execution across podcast and video initiatives
Produce and optimize audio and video content for clarity, accessibility, SEO and GEO, incorporating captioning, formatting and platform-specific best practices
Prepare and manage content distribution across digital channels, including the firm website, intranet, email marketing and social media, supporting [client and prospect] audience growth and engagement initiatives
Monitor performance metrics and generate insights to inform optimization, improve engagement and support content marketing objectives
Maintain and manage podcast and video platforms and asset libraries, ensuring content is organized, up-to-date and easily accessible
Collaborate with Marketing, Business Development, Communications and Compliance teams, as well as lawyer stakeholders, to ensure content accuracy, alignment on promotion plan
Leverage emerging tools and industry trends, including AI-enabled solutions, to enhance production efficiency and content effectiveness, coordinating vendors as needed
Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance workflows, content quality and audience impact

Qualifications and experience:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing, communications, journalism, media production or a related field, and four years of relevant experience in podcast and video production
In lieu of Bachelor's degree, eight years of relevant experience in podcast and video production
Experience in a professional services or law firm environment preferred
Demonstrated hands-on experience managing podcast and video production workflows from concept through publication
Proficiency in audio editing software and podcast distribution platforms, with working knowledge of video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Audacity or similar)
Strong storytelling, writing and editing skills, with exceptional attention to detail and content quality
Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Experience with content performance analytics and optimization, including with SEO and GEO concepts
Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a matrixed, team-based environment
Experience working within established brand, editorial and compliance frameworks
Professionalism, sound judgment and a high degree of discretion and confidentiality
Demonstrated interest in emerging podcasting, video and digital content trends
