Overview:
The Instructional Designer will be responsible for designing and developing engaging, scalable learning experiences that support employee development across the organization. This role reports to the Director of Learning & Development and works as a core member of the Learning & Development team to translate technical and operational knowledge into effective training solutions.
Responsibilities:
Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) and leadership to design learning solutions aligned with organizational training priorities
Independently research, design, and develop content as needed to support training initiatives
Design and develop a variety of instructional materials, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training, microlearning, and job aids
Apply instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, adult learning principles) to create engaging, effective learning experiences
Develop assessments and evaluation methods to measure training effectiveness and drive continuous improvement
Create multimedia learning content using modern tools, including AI-enabled platforms (e.g., HeyGen or similar), video, and interactive design tools
Contribute as a core member of the Learning & Development team, supporting the design, development, and delivery of scalable learning solutions across the organization
Provide guidance to subject matter experts (SMEs), presenters, and internal contributors on instructional design best practices to ensure high-quality content development
Support training delivery as needed, including facilitating or co-facilitating sessions (virtual and in-person)
Maintain and update existing training materials to ensure relevance and alignment with current processes and standards
Document best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of Learning & Development processes and programs
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Technologies, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
5+ years of experience in instructional design, preferably in a corporate or technical environment
Strong experience with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise, Captivate) and multimedia development
Experience with AI-driven content creation tools (e.g., HeyGen or similar) strongly preferred
Solid understanding of instructional design models and adult learning principles
Experience working with SMEs to translate complex or technical content into training
Experience facilitating training sessions (virtual and/or in-person) preferred
Strong writing, communication, and project management skills
Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm with overtime as needed
Ability to travel as needed to support Learning & Development–hosted training and events
