Thank you for your interest in joining the Port San Antonio team as an intern this summer! Please make sure you fill out and submit this online application no later than April 30th. Please note that a resume is REQUIRED for this application. Even if you have little or no past job experience at this time. Here are some helpful tips.

After the application deadline, we will review all submissions. Some students will be invited for interviews with our team and successful applicants will be notified by May 19th.

As a reminder, the program will run from June 9 to July 17 and is open to students from Edgewood and South San Antonio independent school districts who are currently in 11th grade (juniors) and will be in 12th grade (seniors) during the upcoming 2025-26 school year. At this time, we are not accepting applications from other school districts.


Workdays are Monday to Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Interns will be paid $13 per hour and we will also provide lunch each day.

INTERNSHIP PROGRAM OVERVIEW:
The goal of Port San Antonio’s Summer High School Internship Program is to provide a work experience for local high school students by developing professional relationships, cultivating leadership skills, identifying strengths, and encouraging collaboration with co-workers and interns.
Core Objectives:
• Empower students by teaching them transferable job skills
• Develop communication skills for effective teamwork
• Identify and harvest leadership competencies
Participant Outcomes: As a result of the participation in the internship program Port San Antonio wants participants to:
• Be prepared to enter the workforce with entry-level job skills
• Understand general business practices and how they apply to the industry
• Believe they can play a role in improving their communities
• Feel confident working with diverse groups of people

  • Requirements:
    • Must be currently enrolled as a Full-Time High School student in Edgewood ISD or South San ISD
    • Must be at least 16 years of age by June 9, 2025
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States
    Students must meet all the above requirements to be considered for this program.
    Participants can expect to be placed in any one of the following areas:

  • Property Management
  • Leasing
  • Computers/Information Technology
