SWIVEL is seeking a talented individual to create and maintain automation framework, enable continuous testing, evaluate tools for SWIVEL’s client-facing applications and supporting processes.

SWIVEL hosts an enterprise-level Agile environment involving building, designing and creating automated test scripts for financial web applications using Java, C#, .Net, and Selenium for mobile, desktop, web, API and microservices. SWIVEL utilizes SDLC practices, AWS, Azure and CI/CD pipeline testing and offers continued growth and career advancement.

Essential duties include the following:

  • Analyze the flow of code and how it interacts with different components.
  • Setting up, maintaining, and performing test automation frameworks on multiple application platforms such as Mobile, Desktop, Web, API, Microservices and building test scenarios and acceptance tests.
  • Investigate customer problems, testing bugs to implement preventing solution.
  • Handle technical communications and understand the customers' systems.
  • Work with deployments teams, coordinating on product design, and offering inputs on the testability of functional elements and product designs.
  • Capable of identifying the manual process that can be automated and automate the same
  • Experience in enabling continuous testing through CI/CD
  • Research test tools, methodologies, and upcoming trends and upgrade existing practices and processes
  • Evaluate and implement new tools for continues testing
  • Should understand both functional and Nonfunctional requirements of application
  • Analyze and disintegrate software systems and coordinate with other teams to enhance the overall test design.
  • Experience in TDD/ BDD
  • Managing the final quality on production release.

Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field from an accredited college or four-year university OR equivalent experience required.
  • Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of Ten (10) years of experience required. Extensive experience with static testing, system testing, regression testing, functional testing, non-functional testing, ad-hoc testing, and performance testing required. Experience in testing web, API and Microservices applications
  • Excellent designing and programming skills.
  • Knowledge of programming languages (Java, C#, Dotnet) and process management methodology.
  • Knowledge of test methodologies and their corresponding tools.
  • Exposure to Behavior Driven Development and experience in programming and testing.
  • The ability to recognize risks and errors in an application.
  • The ability to keep current with the constantly changing technology industry.
  • Experience in creating framework and automation scripts using Selenium in C# or Java (Preferred C#)
  • Experience in creating API framework and automation scripts using Java script or Groovy script or similar scripting language
  • Experience in enabling testing in CI CD pipelines (Azure Dev ops is preferred)
  • Experience in automating script with cross browser tools like Browser Stack
  • Should be able to review code and provide standard
  • Experience in object-oriented programing concept
  • Experience in implementing automation solution for cloud. application
  • AWS certification is preferred
  • Service virtualization skill is preferred
  • Should have exposure to both functional and nonfunctional Testing.
  • Should be able to automate batch, and ETL jobs
  • Should have exposure to event driven development
  • Understand relational data models.
  • Understand SQL databases.
  • Able to query and add data, as necessary, via SQL Server or Oracle preferred.
  • Familiar with test management and defect reporting tools, including Micro Focus Application Life Cycle Management (ALM), Microsoft Test Manager, Team Foundation Server (TFS), JIRA, etc.
  • Demonstrate initiative and innovation.
  • Able to remain up to date on the latest testing methods and technologies in order to produce high-quality software.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to use basic office equipment, including copy machine, personal computer, and fax.
  • Able to sit for long periods of time performing sedentary activities.
  • Able to stand, stoop, and kneel to file for long periods of time.
  • Able to push, pull, and lift up to 20 lbs. of files, supplies, documents, or other related items.
