SWBC is seeking a talented individual to process mortgage refund requests submitted to the Mortgage Refund Queue through AS400/Cotrak, email, and fax, completing in accordance with service level objectives. This role analyzes updates by reviewing, researching, and verifying all insurance updates which may include payments on escrow loans. In addition, this role is responsible for making necessary outbound calls and/or researching insurance carrier websites to verify and update insurance coverage and may use LPS, Citrix, and FiServ database systems.

Essential duties include the following:

  • Processes all documentation submitted to the Mortgage Refund Queue for full or partial cancellations of Force Placed Insurance policies for all escrow and non-escrow accounts.

  • Keys in accurate insurance information to AS400 to generate a FPI refund or void.

  • Follows-up on all incomplete mortgage refund requests including conducting additional research and making outbound phone calls to insurance agents.

  • Provides detailed information for breaks in coverage and/or refund denials.

  • Answers and responds back to all phone and email inquiries and/or questions.

  • Works directly with our financial institution contacts to ensure their refund requests are processed accurately and efficiently.


Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalency.

  • Minimum two (2) years of verbal and non-verbal customer service in which at least one (1) year involved working with AS400, DMS, Microsoft Outlook, tracking and processing mortgage insurance documents, or related experience.

  • Detail oriented.

  • Familiar with most general office machines and have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Able to type 40 wpm accurately.

  • Able to stoop, kneel, and sit for long periods of time.
