The BR&T organization is seeking a Chemical Lab Technical Analyst to join our team in San Antonio, Texas.
Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including associate or mid-level lab tech analysts.
This position resides in the Manufacturing Technology Integration team and supports the evaluation of parts, materials, processes, technology, or equipment through research and testing to ensure safety, reliability and adherence to requirements and specifications. Hands on experience in an analytical fluids lab is a requirement. This is a hands-on role and requires the candidate to perform analytical lab testing in a factory environment.
Position Responsibilities:
Performing analytical lab testing in a factory environment
Operate lab equipment such as spectroscopy, titrators, calorimetry, etc.
Operating precision measuring tools to check work performed
Troubleshooting and resolving laboratory equipment issues and working with facilities and maintenance personnel to complete repairs
Coordinating laboratory activities, maintenance, and repairs
Assisting in the purchase of new test equipment, fixtures, and tools
Using personal protective equipment when using chemicals (e.g., resins, release agents, paints, sealant, solvents)
Working under general direction
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the San Antonio facility.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Experience working in a factory and/or lab environment
Experience providing services to customers
Experience collecting and interpreting data
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Sealant, Adhesives and Coatings testing experience
Fluids testing experience (e.g. hydraulic fluids, oil analysis, etc.)
Experience working in an analytical lab
Experience with chemical retest and shelf-life extension testing
Chemical Safety Plan development experience
Standard operating procedures development experience
Typical Education/Experience:
Associate (Level 2):
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.).
Mid-Level (Level 3):
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).
Relocation:

Summary pay range for associate: $52,700 - $71,300
Summary pay range for mid-level: $61,200 - $82,800
