The Opportunity: Pastry Chef

Rosemary's Catering is seeking a highly motivated, energetic and detail-oriented addition to our catering event team. We are looking for an experienced Baker/Pastry chef to work closely with the pastry teams and assist to production of all bakery and pastry preparations for CBR. Will assist Executive Chef and Pastry Chef with efficient and effective operations of the kitchen and food preparations in regards to bakery and pastry.

Responsibilities of the Pastry Chef:

· Responsible for the day-to-day successful operation and execution of Breads/Pastries and ensures that all quality, cost, and safety standards are met or exceeded.

· Communicate effectively with the Pastry Chef and the culinary team.

· Actively share ideas, opinions and suggestions to improve the kitchen environment and menus.

· Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow associates.

· Maintain and strictly abide by state sanitation/health regulation throughout the shift.

· Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment; use equipment and tools only as intended, properly and safely.

· Maintain and enhance the food products through creative menu development and presentation with the assistance and guidance of the pastry chef.

· Have full knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotions.

· Produce Breads, specialty bread and desserts for Events. Display items attractively and to specified requirements.

· Other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef, Sous-chefs and Pastry Chef.

Tools and Equipment:

· Cooking utensils and equipment, pots, pans, dishware, silverware, glassware, food slicing machine, knives

· Oven, grill/stove burners, microwave appliances

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
