Position Overview

We are seeking a technically skilled 3D Production Designer to support event layouts, tent plans, furniture key systems, basecamps, and interior spatial configurations.

This role is execution-focused. You will produce accurate 3D models, scaled CAD layouts, and graphic assets based on provided direction. This is not an engineering or CNC programming role. Precision, speed, and organization are critical.

You must be comfortable working under shifting priorities and tight timelines.

Core Responsibilities

• Build accurate 3D (SketchUp, Vectorworks, CAD) models for event environments, tent layouts, furniture plans, and interior configurations
• Produce scaled, dimensioned CAD drawings (non-engineering) for tent footprints, layout planning, and client presentations
• Develop furniture keys, legends, and spatial documentation
• Generate AI-assisted concept imagery and refine into presentation-ready visuals
• Prepare print-ready environmental graphics and large-format layouts
• Maintain disciplined file structure, layer management, and naming conventions
• Revise quickly and efficiently based on feedback
• Manage multiple active projects simultaneously
• Coordinate layouts with internal teams and tent vendors

Required Skills & Experience

• Advanced SketchUp proficiency (clean geometry, organized scenes, efficient modeling)
• Strong working knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD or equivalent) for scaled layouts
• Ability to draft non-engineering tent plans accurately
• Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
• Experience using AI generative image systems and integrating outputs into professional design workflows
• Clear understanding of scale, measurements, and layout accuracy
• Strong typography and layout fundamentals
• Experience preparing files for print production
• Ability to work on-site in San Antonio

Preferred Experience

• Experience in event production, experiential design, or temporary structures
• Familiarity with tent systems and event footprint planning
• Understanding of ADA spacing and clearance guidelines
• Rendering capability for client-facing visuals
• Experience working in deadline-driven production environments

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
