Oversees the administration and project management of the institution's maintenance-oriented renovation projects. Ensures that the institution is in compliance with joint commission and other regulatory agencies.

Schedule: Monday-Friday from 7:45am to 4:45pm. Must have flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed.


  • Proven knowledge in design, construction administration, and/or construction project management.
  • Ability to lead in a team environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project or a similar scheduling system is preferred.
  • Ability to be hands-on and balance time between management activities within the office and on the jobsite.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Working in a clinical environment.
  • Knowledge of joint commission requirements.
  • Familiar with PCRA, ICRA, and other infection control measures.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field is required.

LICENSES:

  • Valid TX Driver's License is required - must have a clear driving record.
  • Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) is not required but preferred.
  • Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) or Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) is not required but preferred.

  1. Manages and coordinates the project construction process.
  2. Ensures completion within established schedule, budgetary limits and in accordance with design specifications and regulatory codes.
  3. Maintains familiarity with design, engineering, scope, and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member.
  4. Coordinates activities of the design and construction project teams.
  5. Conducts project meetings and maintains project tracking and analysis.
  6. Analyzes, compares, and evaluates various courses of action and makes independent decisions on matters of significance.
  7. Coordinates project level communication to stakeholders, contractors, trade shop leaders, campus departments and institutional leadership.
  8. Performs project closeout duties and interfaces with enterprise software system for project management.
  9. Assists with joint commission compliance including but not limited to physical environment inspections, water management programs, and deficiency resolution.
  10. Assists with joint commission documentation.
  11. Performs all other duties as assigned.
