Under limited supervision, responsible for providing skilled craftsmanship of access controls as a journeyman level technician.
Schedule: Monday thru Friday from 7:45am to 4:15pm
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge in the maintenance, repair and operation of electrical and mechanical security systems.
- Hands on knowledge with the installation of various types of security devices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, schematics, and operational product manuals.
- Ability to identify and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; and develops alternative solutions.
- Ability to support operational needs to meet or exceed service standards and expectations in a timely and respectful manner.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
LICENSES:
- Valid driver's license is required - must have a clear driving record.
- Installs, maintains, and services access control hardware and equipment.
- Performs low voltage electrical and mechanical work as it relates to the construction, alteration, repair and maintenance of access control devices and equipment for buildings and equipment.
- Diagnoses malfunctions for electrical-mechanical access control devices. Installs, inspects, tests, maintain and repairs a wide variety of physical security devices, alarms, locks, door hardware, and ecrv equipment.
- Cuts keys without having a second key for duplication and pins up lock cylinders.
- Assists with alarm and ecrv programming.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
