The Department of Predoctoral Dental Education at the UT Health San Antonio, School of Dentistry is seeking applications for full-time faculty positions. These positions are focused on providing pre-clinical and clinical instruction for dental students in the pre-doctoral clinics.
For this position, applicants must possess a Doctor of Dental Science (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), or a foreign equivalent. In addition, they must hold a Texas Dental license or be eligible for licensure in Texas. Completion of an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) or General Practitioner (GPR) program is highly preferred. Extensive broad-based general dentistry clinical experience is also desirable.
Academic rank and salary are commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications. The responsibilities of this position include course administration and instruction in preclinical courses and clinical settings. We employ a diverse range of teaching methods, including case-based instruction, group discussions, lectures, demonstrations, and simulations. Furthermore, the position entails participation in clinical practice of general dentistry.
