The Department of Neurosurgery at the Joe R. Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio is part of a nationally recognized medical center dedicated to promoting education, advancing research, and delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care. We are searching for like-minded advanced practice providers (APP) to join our faculty and help us pursue our mission.
The successful candidates will have unique opportunities to work with autonomy and contribute to a team of prominent neuroscience professionals who are highly regarded within their respective specialties. Specifically, the incumbents will perform and provide diagnostic and therapeutic evidence-based practice in inpatient and outpatient settings at some of the best hospitals in the nation’s 7th-largest city.
The job requires an ability to communicate effectively (written and verbally), commitment to provide par excellence patient care, maintenance of complete and accurate health records, team-player aptitude, conforming to duties assigned, and alignment with the School of Medicine’s mission and vision.

Additional Licenses and Certifications
State licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and national certification to practice as a nurse practitioner from an agency approved by the Texas Board of Nursing are required.
OR
A bachelor’s degree in a recognized field of science and completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program is required.
