Under direct supervision, responsible for providing routine clerical and technical support for a research facility. Will be responsible for processing samples, data collection, shipping samples, data entry, supply management.
May occasionally have to work a weekend shift.
- Possesses fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of particular field of specialization.
- Ability to communicate and liaise with research participants, research team members, and other relevant partner/key stakeholders.
- Ability to organize and coordinate work within schedule constraints and handle emergent requirements in a timely manner.
- Ability to perform multiple requests simultaneously while maintaining quality and accuracy.
- Ability to adapt to a controlled laboratory environment and learn new software or database systems.
- Good interpersonal skills; comfortable interacting on a daily basis with supervisors and other staff.
EDUCATION:
HS Diploma or GED is required
PREFERRED:
Phlebotomy experience highly preferred.
- Collects and processes research data.
- Assists in the clerical and technical duties connected with research.
- Assists with data entry from laboratory reports, survey forms and data collection forms.
- Carries out general laboratory maintenance.
- Prepares and sets up equipment and materials for course instruction.
- Assists in searching source materials for research projects.
- Performs routine library work, including finding literature and copying articles.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
