The Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine of the Department of Pediatrics, Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio, is seeking one full-time Neonatologist for a faculty position. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

We are looking for a passionate, collaborative Board-Certified/Eligible Neonatologist to join a rapidly growing Academic Division at one of the nation’s top-ranked maternity hospitals. This opportunity will lead to groundbreaking neonatal research.

UT Health San Antonio Perinatal-Neonatal Program has been a national leader in neonatal research for decades, with well-established translational science laboratories, a dedicated Child and Neonatal Clinical Research Center, and a long-term neurodevelopmental program. You will also have unique opportunities to participate in nutrition and metabolic-focused research through our Neonatal Nutrition Center and Milk Bank, supporting studies that impact outcomes from infancy through childhood. Teaching is a core part of our mission, and you’ll work closely with residents, fellows, and medical students in a highly academic environment.

Our brand-new Level IV NICU is centered in our Women and Children’s hospital, recognized as one of America’s Best Maternity Hospitals for five consecutive years.

  • 96-bed Level IV NICU
  • Family-centered single-patient rooms with pull-out beds and bathrooms for overnight stays
  • Advanced lighting, windows, and acoustic design in every room for developmental care
  • Multidisciplinary teams for inpatient and outpatient care, with a full range of pediatric medical/surgical subspecialists

  • Robust neonatal, pediatric, and maternal transport services throughout South Texas 24/7

You’ll join a collaborative and supportive team of:

  • 20 Neonatologists
  • 6 Hospitalists
  • 15 Neonatal APPs
