The Department of Surgery, Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, in the Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio is seeking a full-time clinical vascular/endovascular surgeon at the faculty rank of Assistant or Associate Professor to join a high-volume academic practice serving as a regional referral center for South Texas.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient vascular surgical care, participate in call coverage, support trauma and emergency vascular services, and contribute to the education of medical students, residents, and fellows. Qualified individuals will have completed an approved Vascular Surgery fellowship or residency, must be board-eligible or board-certified in Vascular Surgery, and must have training in endovascular techniques. Candidates with interests in clinical outcomes, quality improvement, education, translational research, or other scholarly activity are encouraged to apply.

The Division is a busy elective and acute-care group practice that provides comprehensive vascular surgery services throughout South Texas and serves as the regional referral center for adult and pediatric vascular care. The practice includes vascular medicine, vascular imaging, open surgery, endovascular intervention, and coverage of the University Hospital Level 1 trauma center, MSRH, and community hospitals. Faculty benefit from established referral relationships, APP support, dedicated hybrid operating rooms, and interventional suites. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a clinically focused surgeon to build or expand a clinical niche within a collaborative academic environment.

The Division provides advanced aortic care, limb salvage, dialysis access, stroke-related vascular care, and emergency and trauma vascular surgery. It also has programs of excellence in Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, Arteriovenous Malformation, Venous, Lymphatic, and Wound Care. Faculty have opportunities to contribute to clinical program development, quality improvement, regional referral growth, and multidisciplinary collaboration. The Division actively collaborates with Joint Base San Antonio on clinical, educational, and research initiatives and with the University of Texas at San Antonio on educational and research activities.
