Urologic Oncologist- Open Rank
The Department of Urology in the Joe R. & Teresa Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio is seeking a fellowship-trained Urologic Oncologist to join our expanding academic faculty and multidisciplinary genitourinary oncology program.
The successful candidate will develop a comprehensive clinical practice focused on the diagnosis, surgical management, and longitudinal care of patients with genitourinary malignancies, including cancers of the prostate, bladder, kidney, testis, adrenal gland, penis, and upper urinary tract. The position offers the opportunity to perform advanced open, minimally invasive, and robotic oncologic surgery while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team that includes medical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, radiology, and other cancer specialists.
Candidates must have successfully completed an ACGME-accredited Urology residency program and have completed (or be eligible to complete) an accredited fellowship in Urologic Oncology. Board certification or eligibility by the American Board of Urology is required.
This faculty position includes a strong commitment to academic medicine through the education and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows. The successful candidate will actively participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards, departmental conferences, and quality improvement initiatives.
