The Department of Surgery, Division of Trauma & Emergency Surgery, in the Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio is seeking a qualified individual for the full-time academic faculty position of Specialist (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner).

Candidates must be a Master’s prepared Family and Adult Nurse Practitioner or a certified Physician Assistant with expertise in the management of critically ill surgical and trauma patients and emergency surgery services, and perioperative critical care. Candidates must be proficient in the evaluation and management of complex surgical and trauma patients and possess independent critical care procedural skills. Strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary trauma and critical care team are essential, along with a commitment to academic and clinical excellence.
