Medical-Surgical Assistant Professor/Clinical, Non-Tenure Nursing Faculty Position

The School of Nursing at UT Health San Antonio has a Medical-Surgical Assistant Professor/Clinical, Non-Tenure Faculty position. This position requires an MSN and/or doctoral prepared nurse to provide teaching in the undergraduate or graduate programs. Qualified applicants with clinical experience in Medical-Surgical may apply for this academic faculty role with the School of Nursing.

Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

· Supporting the teaching mission of the School of Nursing

· Engaging in medical-surgical nursing professional service

Qualifications - The successful candidate will have:

· A minimum of master’s degree in nursing; doctoral degree is preferred.

· Recent medical-surgical nurse clinical experience

· Current RN Licensure

Collaborative, interprofessional research opportunities include the Glenn Biggs Institute for Alzheimer’s & Neurodegenerative Disease, Barshop Institute for Longevity & Aging Studies, Center for Research to Advance Community Health and more. Our School of Nursing is home to some of the most unique population health and community-based health research in the region and in the state of Texas. Faculty scholarship is supported by a dedicated team in the Office of Nursing Research and Scholarship.
